So let me give you a scenario – let’s say I wrote a blog about tracking Youtube videos and I want to promote it. I see that there is a question on Quora exactly about this topic, and I share the link to my blog. Before sharing the blog though, I make sure to add tracking UTM parameters to it, where my source is Quora.com, my medium is qa-forum-organic.

Then I proceed to publish my answer and the link shared. Sometime after, I go to Google Analytics and I can see that Quora is actually my top referrer traffic driver. Not only that, it is the highest source for new sessions – pretty good, right. Now I know that I have to invest much more time on Quora than on Twitter, haha – see the image here:
